The Real of Human Rights

Human rights are natural only in the sense of the externality to a particular culture. They have nothing to do with eternal nature, they apply simply to what remains of a citizen after he or she is subtracted from a specific policy. Human rights are more basic than the rights to reunion, free speech, opinion and so on. Before that comes the material base of a body, water, food, hygiene, toilets, minimal space for privacy and soon. If individuals are deprived of this, the higher human rights, free speech and so on, disappear.
