What Is Nato?
The north atlantic treaty organization is an international alliance between western countries. The main aim was to stand together against the soviet union, a country with by far the vastest territory of any in the world. After russia's annexation of crimea in 20 14, nato suspended all civil and military co operation with the country. It may be timed to strengthen links between natond member states and rekindle its original mission - strengthening its military presence in eastern and southeast europe.
