Is This the God Who Delivered You Out of Egypt?
The Israelites are not completely rejecting the God who delivered them out of slavery in Egypt. But they're ascribing to this image, the golden calf, the very role of God. So often for us, we turn to idols, right? We turn to other sources of trust or confidence. Why? Because we're uncertain and we want to take control. That's idolatry.
