What's Happening With HB 1020?

HB 1020 is one of about a dozen bills to say that the state legislature and the governor have really, it feels like a set of guns, it's pointed at our city. The other thing I think people should understand is that Jackson, like many majority black and majority brown cities, folks denigrate those cities as a way to devalue them. And when crime was at those sort of record high that it was a couple of years ago, the state was not engaged at all, except to talk bad about it. You know, we keep on keeping on.
