The Bolsheviks and the Romanovs
In July 1918, the Romanovs were executed in a Catterinburg house. The family had been under armed guard since being deposed as Tsar by Bolsheviks last year. Nicholas and his wife Alexei are shot dead after asking for chairs to be brought out of their room. Their youngest son was just 13 years old when he died during the 20-minute execution.
