The Importance of Public Health in the 19th Century

Some of the big breakthroughs in social purpose and socialization in the 19th century were again around public health. Edwin Chadwick imagined you could bring running water into people's homes continually and then use that order flush the human waste and food waste and sort out of the home. That was a massive revolution in the 1840s. Without that, we would not be living in the cities we live in today.
