After Apollo was over, NASA came up with the concept of the shuttle. This would be essentially, I call it a space truck. Could not do anything but go on Earth orbit. The design limitations were that it would have a payload bay, 60 feet long and 15 feet in diameter. And then you want to bring it back home and make it an airplane, a lifting body essentially.
