The Importance of Inner Work in Selling a Business

An exit can be a positive thing for all involved, or it can be a very troubled, difficult, grief-oriented time. All of the psychological and emotional and identity gymnastics that go into a positive exit require a lot of work and attention. The first thing I would say to folks who are thinking about selling is to just give yourself time and space for the inner work that needs to happen in order for that to be a positive completion of a story.
