Is Resident Evil a Remake or a New Game?
I think theoretically it could diminish like the legacy of a franchise that it has to rely on its old entries coming out again. But I'm having trouble thinking of an example of that and like the counter to that is Resident Evil doing both remakes and good new games at the same time. Like those are helping each other so much with keeping Resident Evil a super relevant franchise. It's not like Silent Hill remakes are terrible but it's not like they do a different thing. They just try and do the original one badly.
