Is Hydrogen the Vital of the Future?
Right now hydrogen is a decarbonisation problem, not a solution to much of anything. We make 120 million tons of the stuff a year and substantially all of it is made from fossils without carbon capture. In a decarbonised future, we'll probably need about three quarters of that. And so these are the people that are behind the notion of hydrogen as a fuel. It's the fossil fuel industry. Then there are those earnestly interested in decarbonisation, but it's just got the wrong end of the stick.
