CHAPTER

Is There a Pro-Government Propaganda Campaign?

Eric Liu and Naomi Oreskes are the co-authors of Merchants of Doubt. The book is a history of four physicists who spent their retirement careers working to cast doubt about the truth of environmental problems. They believe that only free markets could protect political freedom, basically a 1980s version of the tripod of freedom from 1935. It's not saying all corporations are bad or that the government is always good because neither of those positions are true.
