Comet smashed into Jupiter in 19 94. It was less than a quarter of the size of the ject that wiped out the dinosaurs. If this comet had hit earth instead of jupiter, we're talking about like an extinction little event. This would have been a global catastrophe.

Scientists are constantly searching for asteroids that could crash into Earth. But if they find one, will they be able to do anything about it? NASA has launched a spaceship that will slam into an asteroid to find out.
