Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones
On his first album, I sampled or ripped off a whole bit of a Kate Bush song. And on the album that I put out with with cooking vinyl that was a proper album, I covered that same Kate Bush song and gave her 100%. Because at the time, that was my favorite Rolling Stones record. So it was done from a sort of fans point of view, really, putting it in there. But then we were being sued by their publishing company more than by the Rolling Stones. The only disappointing time was when Mick Jagger was asked about it in an interview. He started talking about, you can't let people set precedence or something like that.
