Christan Dumay is a professor of history at Calvin University in California. He has written about the modern history of patriarchy and intoxic masculinity in the american church. His book, wild at heart, was inspired by John eldridge's 'wild at heart' A militaristic conception of what he calls christian manhood struck him as not particularly biblical or puzzling. It also led him to question whether white evangelicals were more likely than other Americans to support aggressive foreign policy.
