The Importance of Internal Validity in the Beam Trial
The vast majority of patients proceeded with the intervention that they were allocated. The median of 60 intubations represents the the average operator at each of these centers. And the results of the beam trial suggested that asking them to start using a BOOJI would improve success. So presumably, we can say with very high confidence that we have answered the question that this trial has attempted to answer within the confines of the design of the trial.
