The Tesla Tax Credit for Electric Vehicle Sales in North America
The rules take effect on April 18th. It's only for EVs that are built here in North America. Tesla is the bluest of the blue, the biggest of the blue there in this pie chart. Fisker, Rivian and Lucid do not qualify; it comes down to price. California says it will ban the sale of new gas powered cars by 2035. The state wants to whack most diesel trucks and buses.
