Ans, i think there is just this weird, kind of magical marriage between who peter ker is and these spider abilities that, for some reason makes it such a lasting, i character. It's less people saying, oh my gosh, can you believe you can stick to walls, cause we live in an age where any super hero can do anything. And i think that's where the appeal of spider men comes in, not the fact that he has spider like abilities.
