Is the Alchemy of AI a New Concept?

I think that I love the fact that you, you know, use the metaphor of alchemy. And it makes me wonder if here he was, right, this pioneer of psychology and he and Freud are trying to write in about these abstract concepts. So they're using things like myth and fairy tales and alchemy to explain something that is fundamentally very, very difficult to explain. It's interesting to me that we're doing the same with technology. We're having to rely on really old school ideas about how things work. Is that something that you think has its own trajectory? Or do you think that this is more slowly evolutionary?
