The Importance of Complexity Awareness in the Education System
Can empathy and compassion be taught in the education system? That is of course a very big question. Science clearly show that these capacities that you mentioned, they can be developed. We are not born with a certain amount of empathy and compassion. Some thinkers are talking about transformative learning. It's difficult to do that in a traditional school setting, but it is certainly possible to do that.
