Writing Dry Code

Some people talk about writing wet code, ha, which is write everything twice. Sandy mats talks about this, and does it much better than i ever could. If you abstract something away in service of writing dry code, you may find yourself locked into a certain way that the code is actured that's harder to back out of. And now when you have to make future changes, if you've learned something else that then would radically change your design, you might be put in an unfortunate situation where now you have a really difficult problem to solve.
