Why Would Facebook Make Those Choices Voluntarily?
We don't want computers deciding what we focus on. We should have soft ware that is human scaled, not computers facilitating who we get to hear from. Why would a four profit company do something that they know would make them less money? I mean, facebook could make a call that it wants to make those suggestions because it wants to create a healthier ego for everyone. But unfortunately, that's not what most executives think. And so it does seem like pressures going to have to come in from the outside for them to change. Left alone, facebook will continue to make choices that go against the common good or common good.
