The Origins of MSN's Rev Share
When I was at US News and World Report, we used to repurpose a lot of our content for like Yahoo and MSN. And on the homepage team, which is a team I've always been on, there were really two different, two different silos. One was content that would appear on the site that was not quite sponsored content but had those links in there where you would get revenue from a conversion. Then there was the traditional rev share, where we would partner with different content providers and sell ads against it and split and split the revenue that way.
