Did You Know That Orville Wright Hit a Red Wing Blackbird?
The first documented bird strike was Orville Wright in 1905. He wrote in his diary that he hit a red bean blackbird. So this is not anything new, it's just our aircraft are getting faster. We're flying a lot more. And we've been hitting birds forever. The average right now is about 208 million and has gone up over the last 30 years.
