Theology and Philosophy in the Catholic University

The Land or Lake statement sought to reposition the place of theology and philosophy in the Catholic University more as equals at the academy. After this document was published in 1967 then you start to see a kind of a counter-reformation revival among Catholics about what it means to be a Catholic university. And I think that perhaps there are some consequences that were unintended by the drafters of the Atlanta Lakes document in terms of the pushback so to speak.
