The Urn Speaks From on High to Us Mortals
Beauty is truth, truth, beauty, that's all you know on earth. Is it urn? Is it all we need to know? In a way this urn seems to be a contemplative device. We think about them and we decide how they make us feel. There is one last key to see and theory which comes from his letters and that is negative capability. He says the great artists like Shakespeare for example, don't need an answer. They don't need some philosophical element to their work which at the end teaches us what's important. It's happy to just investigate the truth and then leave it to us to see what we make of it.
