Solo Scriptura and the Church Age

The New Testament is being written in the apostolic age, it is a distinct time from what we are living in today. In the Mosaic age, we very clearly do have living voices of authority in the prophets. So things are going to work differently in different time periods. And when we're dealing with the question of solo scriptura, it's not just a general question of how does God relate to humanity in general or how can God say relate to humanity? Does he have to use scripture or can he use something else?God can use whatever he wants.
