Anthropomorphism Is a Double Edged Sword

If you show people two versions of a product, one that looks a little bit like a person and one that is identical in every way, but doesn't have that human look to it, that'll make them like the human looking one more. So that's usually a plus. If something goes really wrong, then it's a problem if the product is anthropomorphic. And they can get people get mad. You see that with computers all the time. We think about like, when it rains outside and ruins our plans, we don't get angry at the clouds when whey get frustrated,. But we don't see them as human, so we don’t get mad at them.
