The King Prophesied to Kill the Kid on Magnet Island
The king would have liked to have thought he was above grave robbing, but he definitely wasn't. He just set up shop so the person prophesied to murder him wouldn't be able to find him and get this. It was supposed to be the one who killed the horseman on Magnet Island, but he wouldn't do it. The king was so resolved to not kill the kid in the next 40 days, according to the prophecy, that he would stay by the kid's side,. burning oil lamps in an unventilated cavern, drinking way too much alcohol with him and then helping him into a bath.
