The Job of the Satan in the Book of Job
The word satan means accuser in the ancient hebrew mind set. It's a way of saying that god has to name and shame and deal with evil. But then when god has reconciled the world to himself, there is no need any more for an accuser. And next time we'll be talking about gendered language for god as a father.
