The Scream Dial as Scream - The Last Single
On 31 July 1967, three days after the Saturday Club workout, all the group's performances for the next month were cancelled due to nervous exhaustion. On 8 August they went back into the studio to record Scream Dial As Scream, a song Barrett wrote and which Nick Mason sang. That was scheduled as the group's next single, but the record company vetoed it, and it wouldn't say an official release for 49 years. In November 1967 they went on a tour of the US, making appearances on American Bandstand and the Pat Boone show, as well as playing several gigs.
