It took four years to make the film. Most of the first three years I had spent sort of part time doing research and fundraising with the help of a writer named David Peeples, a screenwriter. In three years I raised $25,000. There was no motion picture film at all shot at Los Alamos. Military intelligence people in general would not allow it. And yet by some twist of fate they did see fit to film the actual assembly of the bomb at Trinity site. It's never been used in a film before.
