How a Loner Deceived Katie

Katie and Bushby's communication was mainly electronic. She told them she loved him, but gave the impression they didn't see each other much face-to-face. So how did a loner like Bushby manage to get so close to Katie? Well, quite simply he deceived her. He created four fictitious friends on Facebook, Dantress, Sindarwin, Shane Plurin, and Crystal Stangard. Used his characters to build up Katie's trust in him, along with painting a more favourable picture of who he really was. When questioned by police about his bogus Facebook activity, Bushby completely denied making up his Facebook friends.
