"If the church wants to have any hope at all of reaching lgbtq people without uh changing an orthodox stance on sex gender and marriage it needs to embody that," he says. "Even though we might not be affirming we are not all the bad ideas that you're thinking ... in fact we seek to repent and repair those things that's good" He calls secular culture a major barrier for many who come into the church with ideas about faith and sexuality they've inherited from tv and commercials.
