Dostoevsky's Message to the World

Fyodor dostoevsky's work is an attack on the idea that paradise is just around the corner. He says a lot of people tell themselves, this isn't what they're doing. But if they just look at themselves a little more honestly, this actually is what they are doing. Maybe suffering is as integral a part of life as breathing is. The only person that doesn't breathe is dead. In the same way, it's pointless to try to find some recipe, some approach to life that permanently rids you of all suffering. maybe there's no policy that can be written or bill that will ever rid people of unnecessary suffering.
