The Hunger for Moral and Spiritual Resonance in Politics

I think it's a powerful feature of contemporary politics that there is in the electorate, never mind among academics and philosophers, a great hunger to engage in moral and spiritual debates. I can imagine a politician listening to this and saying well that's an academics answer. So if I may say so, I think that my view is more in line with the yearning abroad in the land among ordinary citizens to engage with questions right and wrong, justice and injustice,. including questions of the good life.
