Imye: I don't think ancient philosophy has a monopoly on knowledge. The scientist is just like the knowledger, like also the person in pursuit of knowledge. We kind of limit the capacity to believe we can know things like the physical world. And so you are now being asked to do an incredibly ampathetic activity - imagine yourself in the shoes of somebody who is a human being. But you are also asking to relate to somebody with an entirely different conception of the way the world is. So that apithetic skill, which is what i was timeg up before with in even reading fiction, right? Even watching a t v show, practising that empathetic
