Yale psychologist molly crockett says outrage about wrong doing kept people in line. Molly and her team have conducted experiments where they ask volunteers to play the role of a punisher. When the volunteer sees somethin unfair, she can punish the person responsible. Our brains evolved to give us a little boost when we get outraged and punish someone.
