The Importance of Women in the North Korean Dynasty
North Korea has always worked on the principle of male heredity. But Kim Jong Un clearly doesn't feel that way and surrounds himself with women. Another North Korea watcher once described him to me as a feminist, which sounds like a strange term to apply to a man who's notorious via a letter of human rights. He regards women as just as capable of doing a good job as men. And that is perhaps one definition of feminism, that when it comes to running a cruel dictatorship,. women in his view are just as good at it as man.
