How to Speak Like Someone From the States
Native speakers of English tend to overuse the words disgusting and gross, which are synonyms. For example, you can say that something is revolting repulsive, sickening, god awful, stomach churning. We can also say we break out in certain things, so I broke out in hives, for example. Hives often occur because of an allergy and it turns the skin red and spotty.
