The Disconnect Between the Left and the American Working Class
I think one of the arguments in the piece which has most provoked people, especially on the left, is that they see themselves as quote unquote class first leftist. I talked about this a little bit on Amy to Reese's podcast. The reason is that they're not big enough as a class to make it on their own. And so they have to align themselves with the bigger group in order to fight, have an intrally conflict with the rest of the managerial elite.
