Mongol DB after 5.3, if you choose to be a cluster connection, it's almost identical to mySQL now. The ID field is the primary key and secondary index is point to what? There is no record that you moved where the data is, right? You know how large is the ID field? And did I actually mention that? Let's go to the object ID. This thing is a 12 bytes by default because Mongo wanted their IDs to be unique across machines.
