During pregnancy, the child will at times be very interested and at times completely uninterested. Accept that there are going to be some disconnects between what you're feeling in a particular moment and what the child is feeling. If you let your child know you understand their fear of being displaced and their fear of not getting enough of you, they actually will pull on you less. And I still have time for you to be my baby.
