Falling in love is a thing that strikes like lightning, and is therefore extremely analogous to the mystical vision. We don't know how really people attain the mystical vision - but we do know that it is open to many people who never did anything to look for it. There are those who have never had the spontaneous experience, and there are those who, through yoga or zen, have attained this insight. And e in both classes, there are, of course, exceptions.
