Epoc have already filed an appeal, which could end up at the supreme court. Apple also has to comply with a new law passed in south karea that bans both it and gugel from requiring smart one users to pay using payment systems built in to apple and gogle's own stores. The amount of attention this case attracted mayly does reflect the tech lash. Lots of governments a sort of grappling with power of these companies in various ways. We're going to have to wait and see where the legal story ends.
