The first verse introduces us to the prophet Jonah, and it tells us the word of God came to him. The Hebrew word for Jonah is Yona, which also means an animal - a kind of bird. He goes on to explain why he's called Jonah, or at least in this allegorical level, why is it compared to a dove. And there's other episodes that were told in Jewish literature that affirm that there's something really special about this stuff.
