Are You Counting as Black on the Census?
Since the Supreme Court set the standard back in 2003, there's been no substantial debate about this. Kareem Creighton: This broad definition of blackness is more or less settled policy that Democrats and Republicans have used in voting rights lawsuits. So it's still pretty straightforward. Like everybody who identifies themselves as black on the census, whether it's just black or black or something else, we all count as black.
