How to Set the Compressor Release Properly
I use tape on vocals a lot. Just to sort of smooth the track. And I'll do it on a snare sometimes because I want, you know, and a little less high end. So once it sounds together, then I'm good. But as long as it sounds separate, it's like it needs more saturation. Yeah. Totally. It's usually just slow attack fast release. Like yeah,. it's like almost never fastest release time. Right. And the highest attack time on the SSL basically. Same thing with compressors - they're all very different machines. They spend a lot of time just getting that rhythm, track to breathe, setting the compressor release properly so that
