You can get the same result buying a really inexpensive bottle of wine, some really inexpensive cheese, going to a free concert at the park. The girl doesn't mind that you're poor. What she cares about though is that you're making progress in your life to get out of poverty. If she thinks you're really attractive and making progress, she will deal with basically dirt fucking poverty and be cool with it.
