The Importance of Productivity in the US Economy
The US economy is in pretty good shape I mean that you know we have we went through a very bad financial crisis and didn't go into the 30s. We've got problems but you know we're still innovating and we're still productive, he says. The one big question mark and worry in all of that is productivity which has been growing much faster than other parts of the economy. He thinks it requires extraordinary amounts of innovation just to push the ball forward a little bit.
