The DNA of the Prime Suspect in Britney's Murder

Britney's case was being overseen by the head of Tulsa's Cold Case Homicide Department, Detective Eddie Majors. The alleged Golden State killer Joseph D'Angelo had been arrested using familial DNA in his unsolved crimes. Investigators were hopeful that the same technique could identify Britney's killer. However, after 15 years searching for a suspect, it was determined semen found at the crime scene didn't belong to the killer and hadn't been left on her body. This effectively put the investigation back to square one with no physical evidence linking anyone to the murder.
